The Importance of a Global Story

Previously, our problems were local. So we had local stories with limited span and duration. But now today, our problems are not so much local. All of the major problems we have is no longer local, but global. Therefore, local solutions aren't going to work. We need a global solution. It better happen soon because global warming is already happening. And it's accelerating. The threat of nuclear weapons has been around for more than half a century. If we don't come up with something convincing pretty soon, then I don't see a way out.
