i fell in love with the work of bert moriso, a French impressionist painter. She was born into an affluent family and painted tenderly private domestic moments. Bert's father picked up an independent income of about eight thousand francs a year through his marriage to her. i just became really entranced with this idea that a woman whose focus was on painting things that are traditionally considered feminine, like she was right at the heart of the impressionist movement.
