Is There a Slowdown in Inflation?

In October, inflation in the United States was 7.7%, down from 8.2% in September. Some people are taking that as an indication that inflation is finally slowing. The expected red wave that would sweep Republicans to power it did not come to pass. Democrats will maintain control of the Senate; Republicans have now secured a majority in the House Of Representatives.
