The Forgery of a 1914 Painting

In 2006, Wolfgang and Helene sold a 1914 painting supposedly by Heinrich Compendong. A Maltese company commissioned two art historians to inspect the work. They confirmed that some of the paint that was used didn't exist in 1914. In 2010, the buyer of the painting filed a complaint with the District Court in Cologne in order to be reimbursed for the purchase price,. 2.9 million euros.
