The Importance of Sub-Protocols in IOPs
The idea was to use a very efficient encoding in terms of like number of bits for the first message, and then later on switch to the polynomials. We show that we can do this sort of using subject-based techniques. And does this come at a big cause for the verifier or in proof size? Not, not, not so much, though. It adds more, more interaction because you need to run a sub protocol, but that you sort of can feel chamere away later on.
