Is There a Difference Between History and English?
i don't know that the disciplines themselves have fundamentally changed em and i you know, some of this is also kind of practically driven in the last at ten years or so. I think there is a way that the formalization and the institutionalization of particular programs and departments have made it very easy for an administrative, for an administrator to kind of manage that difference in that way. There's no reason that you can't be in an english department and teach the introduction to american literature course, and teach em only writings by people of color. And then i think we a need to see ourselves and our ideas and our epistemological formations everywhere, so that it no longer becomes possible for institutions
