In early November 1967, John Keel travelled down to Point Pleasant. He stayed in the town for a few days before returning to New York. There he allegedly witnessed more inexplicable phenomenon. Then received further news from his contact T. Hire about an impending disaster. Whatever was going to take place would happen precisely at the moment then President Lyndon B. Johnson switched on to White House Christmas tree lights. At almost that precise moment, witnesses all over Point Pleasant heard a loud crack ring out through the town,. followed by a momentary flickering of streetlights.
