I don't think we find ourselves almost by accident empathizing people whose lives are very different from ours. I would argue that somebody with no capacity for empathy in any interesting sense who was willing to listen to people could be like a great moral person. While someone who really wanted to feel what it's like to other people, I actually think is running of moral and practical risks.
