What Happened to the Standard Time?
Communities could differ from each other by odd minutes and seconds. It became so much of a problem, there was this big meeting in chicago organized by the railroad companies. We hereby propose a standard time to unite trains across the country. The general public is going to love this. They'll throw a parade in our honor.
