Up until 2016, the only people legally allowed to invest in startups are what they define as accredited investors. Everyone else could invest once the company went public. In 2012, there was an act that went before Congress called the Jobs Act and it was really to update these antiquated rules. And literally on the eve of the new equity crowdfunding rules being made available, Jeff and I were arguably probably the first company to file and do it.
