The Key Component of Expedential Growth Is Dematerialization
Growth is a key component of what would make ongoing growth possible and desirable. But another factor is just aggregate population. So i'm actually worried we won't grow enough people over the next few centuries. There are plenty of countries, typically the wealth ones, where total fertility rates are below replacement. And as in japan, populations are shrinking. Now i'm not sure that will continue.
