The Merchant and the Buffalo's Shadow

A merchant, injured and stranded after a storm, rides a slow water buffalo named Midnight to the next town for shelter from the scorching sun. Along the way, a dispute arises when the farmer demands payment for the buffalo's shadow that provided relief to the merchant during the journey.
