The Promise of God
God promised Abraham to give him a son and build a nation from his descendants. He promises by making an oath with his people, so that they might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us. Jesus has secured our purification and ultimate resurrection into the kingdom of God. That is what we put our hope in. We have a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul. This anchor cannot be moved."
