Is God Using Evil as a Mean to Achieve Some Ends?
Tommy s: Should we think that god is using evil as a means to achieve some ends, for example, soul building? Yeno: Is the consequentials verse, deontological. The natural evils are a consequence because they can serve this good, even though that good was not necessarily the central aim. And it may be that god's not aiming at making the a natural evils, so that we have soul building. Aiming at something else, making a world capable of producing creatures like us.
