The Crime Is the Trojan Horse
The books are set in Quebec, a small village called Three Pines. They follow the investigations of the head of homicide for the sirtre of the city. While they're very proudly and clearly crime novels, they aren't really about the crime. The crime is really the Trojan horse that allows me to explore other issues: loneliness, love, all friendship,. All sorts of things, and sometimes very difficult issues. I don't necessarily know the answer to, and that makes it all the more interesting to explore.
