Is There a Loop in Decision Theory?
A lot of my research motivation for the last, i'me not sure, ho along inthig, at least three years has been towards trying to fix this problem where you have a loop. Like thinking about decision theory in ways that, like, people were talking about decision theory around 20 16 or something. It was like, what happens wen you take dags, but you have loops and stuff like this. And i had the slight glimmer of hope around, well, maybe we can not have loops when i realized that in a lot of stories like this, the loop is kind of caused by complating a variable with an abstract copy of the same variable.
