The Book of Ruth

The Book of Ruth is about a Moabite woman who marries an Israelite man. The gentle, integrationist ideology and the use of two widowed women as main characters are all a breath of fresh air amidst the doom and violence of the historical books. At the end of her book, she's revealed to be the grandmother of King David,. We're going to meet pretty soon in the Book of Samuel.
