The Supreme Court's Decision in Dred Scott v. Casey
The court said black people did not have rights that white people were bound to respect. That wasn't even about the property rights aspect of Dred Scott at all. Justice Scalia also analogized the Supreme Court's decision and Planned Parenthood versus Casey to Dred Scott when he recited some of the court's reasoning.
