The Potential of Paid Roles in a Diverse Board

It feels like if you really are going to have an excessive and diverse board, they'll have to be paid roles. That's definitely going to preclude some people from joining. I think there's a potential to change the dynamic, which I'm not feeling would be positive. If payment was offered, you might get people from a different area of society. And so perhaps that's worth trying if you want to be able to broaden the committee. Because as you say, there will be people who will be put off from that. It is a lot of work.
