All four rescues were ultimately successful, right? A which which must feel astonishing, given that people were saying, look, even one life saved is is a miracle. That night i actually was filled with more dread and fear than i had felt the entire rescue up to that point. Knowing that what success can do to expectations actually made me really, really worried for the next day. I was still convinced that this should not be working, and i couldn't explain how it was working.
