The Dombas Region, a Place Where Life Has Always Been Quite Hard
The denex region of eastern Ukraine has been almost closed to western journalists for years. The russians capitalized on a working class uprising in the dombas region, where there was an awful lot of nastalga for the old soviet union. It's a place where life is cheap for people, but where death is never that far away. People who speak russian don't necessarily mean your loyalties are different from those speaking eranian or greeks.
