Sigurd Rousing's List of the Best British Novelists

Sigurd Rousing is a short story collection. The list was originally set up in response to the promotion of best British novelists. In 1982, most of them were well over 50. And I wonder if now, have we gone too far in the other direction in that we start to fetishise young talent?
