The Importance of Lazarus and the Rich Man
LZ: Lazarus is the only person named in a parable, and it's significant because he is destitute. The dogs are licking his saws. And Jesus gives him the dignity of a name. LZ: There may be significance in Lazarus, Eliaza, that God helps, etc., maybe that he is a sign that God helped or something. So there may be other echoes as well, but it isn't a description of life after death per se.
