Roy Jenkins and the Labour Party

The only link between Dennis Healy and Boris Johnson is his game shows. Half the Labour Party thought Healy was responsible for their defeat unfairly in many ways. You cannot be at odds with your party over the big issues, the economy, Europe and so on. That explains another reason why Roy Jenkins never got it - he was at odds with the Labour Party over Europe. Kia Stama has basically left him very little space to do anything about the Europe issue in power a bit, but not very much.
