Is It Efficient to Invoke Race?
There's a real question as to whether or not it's efficacious to invoke race in those contexts, although we never ask it. Even with respect to something that has become completely bound up with race, like criminal justice reform,. We almost never talk about issues of police misconduct outside of the confines of race. And i mentioned earlier that analogies are necessary and that we will have to use them but there is a very real sense in which some analogies are better than others.
