What Is Commodity Fetishism?
The value of commodities doesn't just fall down from the sky, as though they are bestowed upon commodities by god. They are determined by labor, specifically the labor of private individuals in producinglike shovels or linen or whatever. But again, the value of those commodities doesn't exist until that commodity has been brought to the market in which it can be exchanged for other commodities. Its kind of a an inter ary exchanging one labor for another in the market and in these social settings.
