The Importance of Technical Debt
The idea that we are moving towards an ideal of features costing nothing is wrong. What we're doing is adding capabilities to people, and those capabilities have weight as long as they exist. Capabilities are not things that you just are once they're done. They have zero cost. And there's a lot of sort of almost morality that like morality speak that goes into some of the discourse around this where we feel like we ought to be doing better.
