Napoleon's Meritocratic Evaluation System
It seems to me that he would have had a huge army but it would have been largely less trained than the Prussian army or the British army. He also though, because first of all he made a meritocratic officer court not that there weren't aristocrats. And then the second thing was, it wasn't a top down army everybody said Napoleon was, you know, dictatorial But what he did was he created this first idea of course first course second core third core and these were independent armies run by a marshal of France.
