The Asylum System Isn't Fit for Purpose

Gary Lineker's views on the asylum system are filling a vacuum. But it is not about everybody in the country or even the majority of people, he says. He argues that there is an over emphasis on this as a political issue. The government doesn't have much of a good news story to tell when it comes to things like cost of living and state of public services. Sooner himself is trying to find ground that he can unite his still very fractured parliamentary party around.
