Rani is a young woman who lives in the north of Iran with her grandmother. She has been watching television when she remembers something that happened to one of her sons during the war. The news had reported on an investigation into missing tamal men and their families. Rani was able to see some bodies but couldn't believe they were alive or dead. Her family members knew unmarked graves lay about the country's north and east. This book can't be read from the point of view of somebody who is restless, rani says.
