The Future of Voice Models

My thing with the voice models always is what's the speed like? Because it's all very well to do it in a post-production sort of scenario. But can it ever do it real time? That's what interests me. And that's when it can do like call centers that are much more interactive and you can't tell if it's human or AI. If that's not close now, I know the that company we've previously used just got a lot of funding to generate voices.
