Science Popularizers, for Good or Bad?

In the 19 fifties, people started buying paper backs and reading about scientific ideas. This was a turning point for science popularizing its own work on television. Sometimes valid scientific ideas would be overlooked in favor of something that was more marketable to the media. In his later years, Albert einstein developed all sorts of theories which were not experimentally proven but attracted colossal media attention.
