The Negative Attitude of Richard Weaver on Jazz
Doug Grotiz: Is being a political conservative somehow antithetical to liking jazz? He says Weaver didn't understand really what was going on, because he had to take on jazz that a number of people have had that it's somehow primitive and just visceral without any sophistication or musical knowledge. "I think at best it was ignorance at worst, I don't want to say what it was," Grotiz adds.
