Archaeologist Carmen Esposito led a series of studies on the people of Fermo across several hundred years from the night century BC to the fit. The cemeteries at Fermo were full of people who had moved there from elsewhere, both at its foundation and then for quite some time afterward. This is a key insight into how the Etruscan world came into being and how it continued to develop as we reached the 7th century BC and later.
