The yule lads, invar real way, are a story about that. iceland was not a super easy place to live for a long, long time before you have the advent of heating technology or different supply chains to transport food. That's why some things are so expensive in iceland. And now that iceland has become less of a threatening environment, it kind of makes sense that the yule lids would chill out a little bit.
