Evolution of Dharma and Moral Dilemmas in Indian Philosophy

This chapter explores the concept of Dharma in Indian philosophy, its evolution as moral requirements, the influence of Buddhism and Ashoka's inscriptions, and the inclusion of Dharma as a life goal. It also analyzes moral dilemmas and highlights the ambivalent attitude towards deception in the Mahabharata using the example of Yudhisthira's moral dilemma and his subsequent deception of Drona.
