In 1972, Gaia's first book on climate change was published. It predicted that the world would be in a state of economic collapse by 2050. The predictions have been accurate up to this point but there is still a long way to go and many variables are not where they should be. "I tend to think anybody that's stating something bad is going to happen is probably overreacting," he says.
