The Importance of Unpaid Work in Value Production
The way he puts it specifically is that the condition of some work being valued is that most work is not. And you have to remember that this kind of gets kicked off with Marx's critique of surplus value, right? His idea of surplus value is already pointing out that there is unpaid work. There's a relative differential between that realm in which that kind of surplus is extracted and that is relatively unpaid. But then further down the tier we have properly unpaid, but like sort of compensated through the way fund or whatever. Then down through to like free nature and so on. Like this is kind of like, but the existence of those differentials is the thing that makes this system work. Yes
