How Many Words Do You Know?
I fully support the idea that like you don't need that many words to get by on a day to day basis. Even so 250, anybody thinking for a few minutes should realize that 250 is laughably small. That's like a three year old, right? Actually a three-year-old be 20 much higher than that. So which then gives us the question, how many words does a person today know and has that changed since 1800?
