The Importance of Surgery in Rehabilitation
Surgery has been challenged from the perspective of research evidence. Some people who don't respond to conservative care and you know I wouldn't know whether that's for structural biomechanical reasons or if their perception is that it needs a surgical intervention. The idea that the model of subochromial decompression surgery arose based upon the idea of impingement was really challenged recently as well. We're challenging the practical value of the surgery we're challenging the theoretical underpinnings.
