London taxi drivers have larger hippocampus, the part of the brain that navigate spatial intelligence. We've also read about blind people who use part of the visual cortex for other purposes to enhance their ability to hear and smell. There's an argument that we could begin to use parts of our brain that we used to use,. right, for really kind of basic rudimentary stuff for new purposes - which would mean that without these glasses, we would truly become helpless.
