Hippocrates was a Greek physician who is credited with inventing medicine. He wrote more than 60 works, which we now call the hypocratic corpus. The hippocratic corpus represent our first really important medical literature from the greeks. Medicine and philosophy were very closely related in the greek world. We can actually trace the impact of philosophy on medical ideas.
