The Biggest Changes to Practices
Practices will no longer be allowed to ask patients to ring back later. This suggests that they'll basically have to book them an appointment or refer them on elsewhere, literally the first time they call or walk into reception. Another major change comes with repurposing a big tranche of funding from the investment and impact fund (IF), which is a set of targets for primary care networks. There were 36 total gets for PCNs through the IIF, but this is now going to be cut back to just five for next year.
