What Should the Chinese Do?

Tibet was an extremely harsh federal society with extreme hierarchy regulated in details. The brutal Chinese colonization of Tibet is a fact, but this should not make us blind for what kind of country Tibet was before 1949. In the late 1950s, when the Chinese authorities still more or less tolerated the Tibetan way of life, they just controlled foreign policy.
