The Government's Plan for Mass Trials in El Salvador
The National Assembly in El Salvador has said that they plan to go ahead with mass trials, where up to around 900 people will be put on trial at one go. The government justifies this sort of very unusual measure by saying that this is how the gangs operate. It's a bit similar to what happened in the 80s against the mafia in Italy, but on a much bigger scale.
