Rocket 88 was the first rock and roll record to be released in the 70s. The song has a lot of similarities with Little Richard's Good Golly Miss Molly. But there are also some differences between the two songs. Rocket 88 had repercussions for many people, even if it was only a one-off hit For Ag Turner, after Rocket 88 was released, half his band quit and stayed with Brentston.
