The Prophetic Stand Against the American Culture

In this book, you do a lot of pushback against the issues that we live in. How do you feel about yourself being described as someone who takes a prophetic stance or being a prophet against the American ethos? Well, I don't think anyone should grab at such an identity for oneself, but I understand prophetic work to be speech that interrupts the common assumptions of dominant culture. And if that's what one understands by being prophetic, then I would guess that in a general way, that's what I think I'm about.
