Henry Ford and the Rise of Anti-Semitism
In the lead up to World War II, anti-Semitism was on the rise in America. Historian Pamela Nadell says there are parallels between today and Henry Ford's influence at that time. In 1923, when Hitler was just getting started, a reporter asked him what he thought ofHenry Ford. And Hitler said, quote unquote, I regard Henry Ford as my inspiration. The lessons for today are that one person with a large platform can tap into the sort of latent theme of anti-Semitism," writes Nadell.
