The Priest Garments Are Beautiful

There are overtones here of Aaron being a new Adam and the representative of God's people. The priest in order to pass into these increasing zones of holiness must be garbed with holiness himself. He is dressed in this way not for his own sake we see but primarily because of the function he plays in the life of Israel. And what that's representing is the fact that Uncleanness cannot come into contact with holiness. Otherwise the thing which is unclean is going to die.
