What's Good About the Baldies?
In 1986, there was a skinhead crew in Minneapolis named the Baldies. They started seeing other skinheads around town and asking them like, Hey, what's good? You want to like hang out? Where are you from? And then all of a sudden, they're like, how would you differentiate? Like, okay, if you're the Baldies, this is their first exposure. That sort of coalesces and solidifies. Around 87, 88, you're seeing a lot of anti-racist skinheads winning turf wars against Nazis. Don't have many friends really big, but maybe they're going up against as many people who aren't as big as us.
